IIAP Visits KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm) to Advance Internal Quality Assurance for Digital Teaching & Learning
As part of the eCAMPUS project (funded by European Union Erasmus+ CBHE), a delegation of around 20 representatives from Armenian higher education institutions and national education bodies visited KTH Royal Institute of Technology on 15–16 October 2025.Among the Armenian participants were Yerevan State University, Armenian State Pedagogical University, Yerevan State Medical University, Northern University, the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems, the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance (ANQA), and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

The visit falls under “Work Package 3 – IQAsys” of the eCAMPUS project, which is focused on developing and implementing an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) system for digital teaching & learning activities (TLA) in Armenian higher education institutions. This system aims to align with European Higher Education Area standards and strengthen institutional capacities for self assessment and continuous improvement of digital education.
Key topics during the two days included:
- Digital technologies in higher education
- Assessment strategies
- Institutional level quality assurance: stakeholders, tools, methodologies
- Student engagement as partners in the educational process.

Armenian and European partners exchanged practices and experiences. On the first day, KTH’s Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center shared insights into QA systems from national to course level, and on Day 2, representatives from the Autonomous University of Madrid, the University of Lisbon and the University of Genoa presented their digital/online education QA experiences.

As a partner in the eCAMPUS project, the IIAP plays a pivotal role in shaping Armenia’s digital higher education infrastructure, and the engagement during this visit strengthens its contribution to the quality assurance agenda.
We look forward to implementing the insights gathered and advancing the project’s next steps in Armenia.
