IIAP Participates in KPI4HE Project Workshop at YSU to Advance Quality-Oriented Higher Education
The Institute of Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences (IIAP NAS RA) recently took part in a pivotal workshop at Yerevan State University (YSU), in the frames of the “Establishment of a National Framework of Key Performance Indicators for Good Governance and Quality in Inclusive, Digital, and Green-Oriented Higher Education in Armenia” (KPI4HE) project. This workshop, which gathered academic and governmental stakeholders, served as an essential milestone in developing Armenia’s first national framework of key performance indicators (KPIs) for higher education. The KPI4HE project, a three-year national initiative coordinated by YSU, aims to improve governance and strategic planning in higher education through a systematic KPI framework. The project is a collaborative effort among Armenian institutions, including the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, as well as European university partners from Germany and Italy, such as TU Dresden, the University of Oldenburg, and the University of Genoa.
First half of the day was included welcome speeches and presentation by different stakeholders which was followed by a practical session. Participants, divided into thematic groups on “Education,” “Science,” and “Mission of the University,” shared their insights and proposed KPIs to shape the final framework. The representatives of IIAP took part in all working groups and actively engaged into the discussions. IIAP’s engagement in KPI4HE aligns with its strategic focus on advancing digital transformation in Armenia’s educational landscape.
