IIAP NAS RA Joins the Francophone University Agency (AUF)
The Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Science of Armenia (IIAP) is now an official member of the esteemed Francophone University Agency (AUF - L’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie). During a ceremony at IIAP, Madame Laure Castin, AUF’s Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe, presented the membership certificate, marking the beginning of a promising partnership. This membership will facilitate increased collaboration, research opportunities, and academic exchange within the global Francophone community.
IIAP has a rich history of fruitful cooperation with French institutions, particularly with IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse). Notable collaborations include Erasmus projects and joint initiatives, such as the creation of the Armenian National Supercomputer Center (ANSCC), supported by IRIT and ATOS.
This new partnership with AUF reinforces IIAP's dedication to promoting innovation, fostering knowledge exchange, and strengthening academic ties with the Francophone world. IIAP is committed to contributing to and eager to benefit from this dynamic international network, furthering its research excellence and global collaboration.

The Francophone University Agency (AUF - https://www.auf.org/) unites 944 universities, colleges, networks, and scientific research centres across 116 countries, all of which use French as their working language. Founded nearly 60 years ago, AUF is one of the largest associations of higher education and research institutions worldwide. It represents the higher education and research sector at the Francophone Summit, responsible for implementing resolutions adopted by the Conference of Heads of State and Government in French-speaking nations.
