SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL
Scientific Council
The Scientific Council is the body responsible for coordinating the scientific and scientific-technical activities of the Institute. The Scientific Council:
- discusses and approves the main directions of the Institute’s scientific research, the topics and programs of research activities, issues related to the training of scientific personnel, and international scientific cooperation;
- coordinates the work carried out within scientific research topics;
- reviews and recommends for publication planned and unplanned monographs, collections, and other scientific works of the Institute’s employees and authors working in other organizations in the relevant fields;
- at least once a year, discusses and approves the reports and proposals of the Director and the heads of scientific divisions regarding the scientific activities of the Institute;
- discusses urgent issues related to the development of science and hears scientific presentations;
- nominates significant scientific works, inventions, and discoveries for awards; recommends Institute scientists for the conferment of scientific titles and nominates candidates for election to the Academy;
- approves the results of the qualification assessments of scientific staff.
